CG Supervisor

We are looking for a CG Supervisor to lead a team of CG artists to create high quality visual effects and animation.

We would like someone with serious industry experience who can assist and supervise the CG artists in all aspects of production including modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, look dev, lighting, and FX.

You should be able to help get the best out of artists, train/mentor and constantly push for better quality work.

Assist in reviewing work and dallies as well as the feedback and approvals process.

Work with VFX Supervisors to define the best creative and technical approaches to projects and work with Production to ensure that schedules are realistic and the correct artist is picked for the right task.

Keep up to date on new technology and tools (hardware and software)and help develop a creative and technical work environment.

Work within a Shotgun managed pipeline. Help to guide the development of R&D and pipeline.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of CG experience using Maya and Vray (or other Renderer) on live-action commercials and animation productions.

Excellent Maya skills including a good understanding of all aspects of the pipeline. In-depth knowledge of a selection of industry tools ie: Vray, Mari, Substance, Zbrush, Deadline, Maya plugins, Nuke, Houdini etc…. Knowledge of Phyton scripting would be a major bonus.

Experience in leadership and team management.

Knowledge of the entire production process, including working with Compositing, production and the client approval process.

Excellent problem solving skills, an experienced creative eye and the ability to delegate, teach and manage people and projects.

Ambassadors is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Human Resource Intern to join our team as of April 2018.

We grow fast and you will work on one of our most important topics: happy people! The main goal will be to develop and improve our HRM policies and  procedures. Topics that need our specific attention are employee development plans and the performance review process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR department
  • Closely work together with the HR Officer
  • Support in setting clear guidelines and creating workable policies

VFX Pipeline TD

We are looking for a Pipeline TD. The candidate will be helping to create and maintain our VFX tools pipeline.
The candidate will be working alongside a team of VFX artists who create awesome visuals for commercials and brands. We want someone who can collaborate and communicate with these artists to understand their problems and find solutions to streamline their workflows.

You will be required to support and enhance existing in-house tools and frameworks. As well as create and seamlessly integrate tools for CG and the Comp teams and develop our asset tracking pipeline.

We are interested in people with any of the following skills:

  • A degree in VFX or Computer Science or relevant practical experience.
  • Developing tools in Python and Qt.
  • Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with VFX applications and workflows (Shotgun, RV, Maya, Flame, Nuke, Houdini).
  • Familiarity with render farms (specifically Deadline).
  • Knowledge of C++, Maya and Nuke API would be a bonus.
  • Experience using frameworks is a plus such as Flask and SQL databases.

CG Generalist

We are looking for a CG generalist to join our growing team. You should possess all the skills that make up the backbone of CG. Modeling, texturing, shading, lighting and rendering. Animation, Rigging, dynamics and scripting are all huge bonuses.

We want someone who can consistently deliver and wants to push for the highest level of quality in their work. We are a Maya studio rendering with Vray and Arnold. Understanding of Nuke for slap comps and communication with Comp is a bonus.

You will be working as part of a team of artists to create awesome visuals for TVCs, VR, Brands and interactive. We are looking for someone who can bring new skills to the team and is willing to teach and to learn.

Junior CG Artist

We are looking for a Junior 3D Generalist. The candidates will be detail focused and have the ability to deliver high standard work in a creative, fast-paced production environment. The role will be working on various CG projects including TVCs, online, print and Brands.

Requirements

Good general knowledge of Maya with strong fundamental skills in modelling, texturing, shading, lighting and rendering. Skills in rigging, dynamics and scripting are a big plus. Basic compositing skills for slap comps is also a benefit.

Junior API and Systems Engineer

Ambassadors is looking for a full time junior API and Systems Engineer to work on our online asset management application.

What we are looking for:

  • Good knowledge and experience in UNIX / Linux environments and code management tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in languages like Python and Go.
  • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration of code in a scalable manner.
  • Languages and technology can be learned, your drive to learn and explore is more valuable to us than your knowledge of a single language or tool.

Junior Frontend Developer (React)

Ambassadors is looking for a full time junior frontend developer to work on our React-based asset management application.

What we are looking for:

  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3+ and Javascript;
  • Proper experience with ES6/ES2015 and beyond;
  • You know how to use RESTful APIs;
  • Have worked with modular/component-based frameworks;
  • A bachelor’s degree (hbo) or demonstrably equivalent level of skill;
  • At least 1 year of full time experience.

What would make you stand out:

  • A deep understanding of React / Redux patterns;
  • An appreciation for statically typed Javascript (Typescript or Flow);
  • Experience with test driven development;
  • You know how to git your way out of a bad rebase;

Design & Animation Artist

 We are looking for Design & Animation Rockstars, Kings of the Keyframe, Dames of Design, Lords of Layers, Queens of Composition, team players that will fit into our creative-driven, collaborative Design & Animation team. 
Experience + Skills
  • Ability to think conceptually and problem solve on a creative level.

Mid-Level Visual Effects Producer

In the position of Mid-Level Visual Effects Producer you are responsible of handling VFX heavy and animation projects.

You will work in close collaboration with our other producers and studios to make sure that deadlines and deliveries are attained and feasible. You liaise between our visual effects,  sound and animation departments to make sure resources and workload are in perfect sync.

As a Visual Effects Producer you are on top of scheduling, feedback, estimate requests, project tracking and communications with the team and our clients. In this position you report towards the Head of Production.

Responsibilities

  • You will manage several VFX heavy/ animation projects simultaneously and support the other Producers on the team.
  • You will develop a clear understanding of our processes and systems.
  • You will be responsible for budgets, schedules, project tracking and client/team communications.
  • You will own the details of your projects.
  • You will resolve projects issue with a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • 5 years of previous experience as Visual Effects Producer preferably in an Advertising, Marketing Agency or a Post Production Studio.
  • Experience in managing substantial projects preferably in commercial advertising, digital and post-production.
  • Organised, detailed and solutions oriented.
  • Understanding of the administration of the production department (forecast, reporting).
  • Ability to work under high pressure and strict deadlines.
  • Independent, resourceful and curious.
  • Energetic personality.
  • Flexible and open minded.
  • Full-time available.
  • Fluent in English.
  • To be an Ambassador for the business at all times.
